Choose your sounds

KyaChat has its own original sound pack. Your choices follow you to every device.

Choose a sound for each event

  1. Open Settings > Notifications and sounds.
  2. Under Sounds, choose New message, Mention, Other notifications or Message sent.
  3. Press play next to a sound to hear it, then choose it. None keeps that event silent.

There are 12 message tones: Zircon (the default), Facet, Prism, Chime, Ripple, Glass, Pulse, Drop, Bloom, Spark, Echo and Halo. Mentions use Beacon unless you change it.

Volume and in-app sounds

Move the Volume slider, and turn In-app sounds off if you do not want sounds while KyaChat is open (new messages in other chats, mentions and sending). On phones you can also turn vibration on or off. KyaChat stays quiet while your device is on Do Not Disturb.

Give one chat its own sound

  1. Open the chat and its details.
  2. Choose Sound, then pick a sound under Sound for this chat.

Muted chats make no sound. Choose the default at the top of the list to go back to your usual sound.
