Bots
Bots with buttons
Bots take orders, confirm bookings and send reminders, with buttons people tap instead of typing. Build your own with the Bot API.

Tap instead of typing
A bot can put buttons under its messages. Tap one and the bot answers or updates the message, so a whole order or booking takes a few taps.
- Buttons that send an answer to the bot
- Buttons that open a web page
- Messages the bot updates in place

Your code, one HTTPS call
A bot is a KyaChat account run by your code. Send a message with one HTTPS request, and receive messages by long polling or a webhook.
- Send text, photos and files up to 25 MB
- Collect updates with getUpdates or a webhook
- Up to 120 calls every 10 seconds per bot

Safe by design
People write first
A bot can message someone only after that person has written to it. In groups and channels it must be a member.
Tokens shown once
KyaChat shows a bot’s token once and keeps only a hash. Replace it in Settings and the old one stops at once.
Up to 20 bots
Each person can create up to 20 bots from Settings > Bots in KyaChat Web.
Questions and answers
How do I create a KyaChat bot?
In KyaChat Web open Settings > Bots, choose a name and an @username and copy the token. Step by step.
Do I need to be a developer?
To run your own bot, yes: a bot is driven by code you host. Using bots that others built needs nothing: open the bot and tap its buttons.
Can a bot read my group?
A bot that is a member of a group receives every message in it, so group owners should only add bots they trust and tell members what the bot does.
Is the Bot API free?
Yes. There is a limit of 120 calls every 10 seconds per bot.
