Make a poll or a quiz

Polls work in groups, channels and private chats, with results that update as people vote.

Make a poll

  1. In KyaChat Web, open the chat and choose Attach (the paper clip) > Poll.
  2. Write the Question and at least two Answers. A new answer box appears as you type, up to 10.
  3. Choose Anonymous voting so nobody sees who voted for what, and Several answers if people may choose more than one.
  4. Choose Create poll.

In a channel, owners and admins who can post make a New poll for subscribers the same way. Votes in a channel poll are always anonymous.

Make a quiz

Turn on Quiz, tap the tick next to the correct answer and add an Explanation if you like (shown after someone answers). Choose Create quiz.

Vote and see results

  • Tap an answer to vote. With several answers, tick them and choose Vote.
  • Choose Take back vote to change your mind, and View votes to see who voted in a poll that is not anonymous.
  • The author and group admins close a poll from the message menu with Close poll.

In the apps you vote, see results and close polls. To make one from your phone, use PollBot.

PollBot

Start @pollbot and send /newpoll, /newquiz or /newsurvey; it builds the poll step by step and posts it in a group or channel you manage after you tap to confirm. In a group with PollBot, type /poll Where shall we eat? | Pizza | Curry.
