Find and add bots

The Bot Directory lists bots by category. Bots made by Red Zircon carry a verified badge.

Open the Bot Directory

  • In KyaChat Web, choose Bots in the side rail, or go to web.kyachat.org/bots.
  • In the apps, open Settings > Bot Directory.

Search by name or by what a bot does, or choose a category such as Productivity, Tools or Groups and community.

Check a bot before you use it

Open a bot to see its profile: What it can do, its Commands, what it reads in groups and the admin rights it asks for.

A verified badge means Red Zircon made and runs the bot. Other bots are run by independent developers, and anything you send them is shared with their developer.

Start it or add it to a group

  1. Choose Start to chat with the bot privately, or Add to group.
  2. Pick a group or channel where you are the owner or an admin.
  3. Read what it will see: either every message, or only commands, mentions of it and replies to it.
  4. If it asks for admin rights, tick Make it an admin (only the owner can), then choose Add bot.

In a channel a bot can post only if you make it an admin.

Use its commands

Type / in the message box, or choose the / button, to see the bot’s commands. If a bot misbehaves, choose Report on its profile.
