Report a message, person, group or channel

Reports go to the KyaChat team. The person you report is not told who reported them.

Report a message

Open the message menu: long-press the message on a phone, or right-click it on a computer.
Choose Report.
Pick a reason: spam or scam, harassment or hate, violence or threats, sexual content, child safety, something illegal or something else.
Add details if they help, tick Also block if you want to, then choose Send report.

Report a person, group or channel

Open their details and choose Report, then follow the same steps.

What happens next

A copy of the reported message is kept with the report, so editing or deleting it does not hide it from the review.
The KyaChat team reviews the report and can remove the message for everyone.
If someone is in danger, contact the police first.

Block someone

Blocking stops one person reaching you, without them being told.

Choose who can find and message you

Two settings decide who can reach you. Both are in Settings > Privacy.

Delete your account

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.
